A living church, touched by history

 

The churches of Boughton-Under-Blean with Dunkirk, Graveney with Goodnestone, and Hernhill were formed into a Benefice (a legally combined group of churches) in 2016.  We hold much in common and do as much as we can together, but enjoy the uniqueness of each building, congregation and style of service.

Our churches have been at the centre of community life and worship for a thousand years, and are very much alive, growing and adapting as they have throughout the years. These are much more than a repository of our local communities' faith, and much loved buildings. if you look around them, they show a record of the twists and turns in the history - religious, political, and social - of the whole country.
